Are there any fees associated with my application?
No, there are no fees when submitting an application.
How do I submit an application?
You may submit an application online through the Jeffersonian Apartments website. Online applications are accepted December 1, 2018.
Do I need to place my social security number on the application?
No, but you will be required to provide this information upon lease signing.
How will I know that my application was received?
All applicants will receive a email confirming receipt of application and will be given a rental wait list number.
After I receive my rental wait-list number, how long before I hear something?
Apartment assignments normally begin in mid-February up to early April.
How do I check the status of my application?
Simply send an email or call the office. Please remember to use your rental wait-list number.
I believe my rental wait-list number is very high. What should I do?
Please bear in mind, not all the applicants in front of you have applied for the same type or time frame you have applied for. Simply send an email to get an estimate of getting an apartment.
I will have a roommate and want to know if we both need to submit an application?
Yes, both you and your roommate must submit an application seprately. Please list each other roomate's name on your application.
If I get an apartment, when do I need to sign my lease and pay the deposit?
Once you have been assigned an apartment, the lease must be completed and the deposit is due.
I’m on the wait list and have decided to live elsewhere, what should I do?
Please email or call the office to be removed from the rental wait-list so others can move up.
In addition to rent, what utilities am I responsible for paying?

Do both my spouse/partner and I need to submit seprate applications?
No, you do not. If you are applying with a spouse/partner, simply list their name on the application.
If I submitted my application prior to December 1st, will my application still be accepted?
No, any application received prior to December 1st will be discarded.
Are 12 month leases required?
Yes, no apartments are leased for less than 12 months.
